A screw conveyor makes it possible to transport different bulk materials, e.g. powders, pastes or granules, continuously over several meters from A to B - dust-free, safe and low-noise. The screw is located inside a pipe or trough and rotates - usually motor-driven - around its own axis. Thanks to the force of gravity and the friction of the transported material on the walls of the pipes, the material is prevented from rotating with the screw and further movement is ensured. Depending on the requirements, additional processing steps can be carried out directly during transportation, such as compacting, cooling or heating the goods. Conveying and dosing screws are used for a wide range of tasks in various industries, from the plastics industry to the food industry and the chemical industry.
